Cappagh Launches Catalyst Leadership Development Programme
Investing in the next generation of Cappagh leaders
Cappagh has launched Cappagh Catalyst — its first dedicated Management and Leadership Development Programme — marking a significant investment in the future of the business and the development of its people.
The 12-month programme has been designed to strengthen leadership capability across the business and build a pipeline of emerging leaders for the future. The inaugural cohort brings together 12 participants from a wide range of roles across the organisation, reflecting the breadth of internal talent at Cappagh.
The programme combines monthly face-to-face sessions with ongoing learning, reflection and real-world application. Each session blends group discussion, individual reflection and collaborative activities, with participants encouraged to apply new skills directly within their day-to-day roles. Key areas of focus include communication, emotional intelligence, time management, critical thinking, decision-making, leadership style and commercial awareness.
A key feature of the programme is the introduction of mentoring relationships between participants and members of the Senior Leadership Team, providing a safe space for honest discussion and supporting participants in building confidence, broadening perspective and taking ownership of their growth.
Feedback from participants following the third session has been very positive. James Shaw, LOT 3 Lining Operations Manager, said: "The Cappagh Catalyst programme has been a really positive experience so far. Cappagh Catalyst is already laying the foundations for something much bigger, with the ambition for the programme to become a recognised pathway for developing future leaders and sustaining the culture that makes Cappagh unique.
