Cappagh Browne Backs AMP8 Delivery with £2.84 Million Plant and Transport Investment

Cappagh Browne, a Cappagh Joint Venture business, is strengthening its operational capability with a significant investment programme totalling approximately £2.84 million in plant, vehicles, tools and equipment — designed to support growing delivery demands across AMP8.

The investment includes 14 new Hitachi diggers, 22 new Transit Custom Trend vans, four grab lorries and a beavertail flat-bed lorry.  The new diggers have been selected for their build quality and are equipped with a range of safety features including tracking technology, toothless buckets, safety shield systems, thumbs-up technology and height and slew restrictions — helping operators work more safely in challenging environments, including around overhead power lines.

The van fleet is also being upgraded with enhanced welfare and safety features, including reversing sensors and cameras, forward-facing sensors, Samsara technology, racking, wash units, soap dispensers, eye wash stations and first aid provision.

The programme also supports Cappagh's wider sustainability ambitions, with smaller vehicles moving towards plug-in hybrid technology and newer engines and battery-powered tools helping to reduce emissions as the fleet continues to evolve.
