We will proactively reduce the potential for accident and occupational health risks by creating safer workplaces, providing competent advice and training, and ensuring all individuals understand their responsibilities. Our aim is to protect people and keep them safe at all times.

Health, Safety and Wellbeing
We will protect people from occupational risks that may affect their present or future health.
We will:
- Provide safe working conditions and environments.
- Support mental health and wellbeing through confidential resources and wellbeing initiatives.
- Align with HSE's Management Standards for Work-Related Stress.
- Promote safe behaviour and empower people to challenge unsafe acts.
Tools, Equipment and Training
We will ensure all employees are trained, instructed, and supervised to carry out their work competently and safely.
We will:
- Provide the correct tools, equipment, and technology for safe working.
- Adopt digital reporting, smart PPE, and innovative solutions where they improve safety and efficiency.
- Benchmark our practices against industry standards and customer expectations.
Legal and Statutory Compliance
We will comply with all applicable legal and statutory obligations, including but not limited to:
- Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
- Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
- Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
- Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998
- Work at Height Regulations 2005
- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
- Personal Protective Equipment at Work (Amendment) Regulations 2022
- Building Safety Act 2022 (where applicable)
- Fire Safety Regulations 2022
Our Health & Safety Management System is accredited to ISO 45001:2018 and subject to continual review and external audit.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Directors – provide leadership, resources, and ensure compliance.
- Managers and Supervisors – implement safe systems of work, monitor standards, and lead by example.
- Employees – follow safety instructions, report hazards, and take reasonable care of themselves and others.
- Contractors and Visitors – comply with site rules and cooperate with Cappagh safety requirements.
Monitoring, Audit and Review
We will:
- Conduct audits, inspections, and reviews to measure compliance.
- Monitor leading and lagging safety indicators.
- Review this policy at least annually, or sooner if significant change occurs.
