Cappagh Invests in Major New Plant Fleet to Support Growing Contract Portfolio
25 Bobcat mini excavators and 15 CAT 308s join the fleet
Cappagh has made a significant investment in new plant machinery and equipment, expanding its fleet of 5-tonne and 8-tonne excavators to meet the growing demands of its contract portfolio across SGN, Thames Water and Portsmouth Water.
The investment includes 25 brand new 5-tonne Bobcat E50Z mini excavators from Bobcat Doosan. Each machine comes equipped with the latest features including a 7-inch display screen, LED beacons for improved visibility and safety, early issue detection, spacious cabs and improved air conditioning. Every machine proudly displays the Cappagh livery.
Joining them are 15 CAT 308s from Caterpillar, each featuring an EU Stage V 3.3 litre engine, a sealed and pressurised cab, 360-degree cameras, customisable controls, increased lifting capacity and stick-steer cruise control.

In addition to the excavators, Cappagh has also purchased new Mecalac pedestrian rollers, Stihl saws, Pramac 3Kva generators and 2-inch Tsurumi submersible pumps. These will be used across the newly won contract with Portsmouth Water as well as supporting reinstatement gangs across other contracts.
