Cappagh Publishes 8-Point Safety Strategy for 2026
A blueprint for safer, smarter and stronger performance — culture not compliance
Cappagh has published its 8-Point Strategy for 2026, setting a clear, measurable roadmap that connects every role, every function and every decision to one shared goal: safer people, stronger performance and a sustainable future.
The strategy, developed by SHEQ Director Steve Kelly, is designed to align Cappagh's operations, governance and culture to the standards expected of a modern, high-performing contractor. Since its introduction, it has already influenced how Cappagh plans, supervises and reviews work, with site teams now using functional safety plans aligned to each point and managers tracking performance using the Cappagh HSEWQ Scorecard.
The eight pillars are: Proactive Hazard & Risk Management; Competence, Training & Development; Assurance & Audit; Quality & Innovation; Leadership & Engagement; Environmental Responsibility; Wellbeing & Inclusion; and Continuous Learning & Improvement.

The company's Safety Stars programme now also links individual recognition directly to the eight pillars, reinforcing the strategy at every level of the business.
