CEMS: Building Cappagh’s Digital Foundations for the Future
Enterprise Management System drives efficiency and connectivity across the business
The development of the Cappagh Enterprise Management System (CEMS) continues at pace, laying the groundwork for a fully digitised future across the Cappagh Group.
CEMS is already being actively built and deployed across key contracts including Thames Water Lot 4, TW Interceptors and the Riverside Project, as well as support functions covering Plant & Equipment, Traffic Management and Health & Safety. These areas are already seeing the benefit of streamlined processes, improved visibility and a meaningful reduction in manual administration.
The system is more than a technology upgrade — it is a transformation in how the company works. Key benefits include significant time savings through automation; the elimination of data duplication; a reduction in paper-based processes; improved real-time communication across teams; and smarter, data-driven decision-making.
Jackie Pope, Head of PMO, said: "CEMS isn't just a tool. It's a critical enabler for digitisation, helping us work safer, faster and smarter. We're now entering an exciting phase of growth and integration. Soon, we'll be expanding CEMS into Portsmouth Water, SGN, RBKC and Complex Civils, bringing these areas into the fold of our connected system. Our goal is simple: to ensure that every team, every project and every process works together seamlessly, driving innovation and setting new standards for excellence."
The next phase of expansion will see CEMS become a truly organisation-wide platform — connecting the entire business and unlocking better collaboration, faster decision-making and more efficient delivery across all contracts.
