Tom is the company's founder and Chairman. Tom started the company more than 40 years ago and has grown the group of companies to a combined turnover of £100M. Tom plays a very active role in the company's affairs both operationally and strategically.

Tom's Son, Michael, is the Managing Director of the Group of Companies.  Michael has been involved in the family business all his working career, beginning as a Teenager. He has developed an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of our business.  Michael possesses outstanding business acumen and a keen eye for opportunities to expand the company.

Biography

Alan joined Cappagh in July 2022; he has accumulated more than 30 years of operational management experience within the utility sector.  Alan’s experience includes leading major projects in sewer rehabilitation, wastewater, potable water, and frameworks for clients, including Southern Water and SES Water.  Alan joined the business having been in a board position post as Operations Director for 3.5 years with a civil engineering contractor.  Prior to that Alan spent 10 years working at Clancy.  Alan’s primary responsibility is leading our Portsmouth Water Framework where he is focused on delivering exceptional SHEQ standards, outstanding customer service and valued delivery in a collaborative manner.

Biography

Ben joined the group in 2018 having spent 15 years working with a number of rapidly growing businesses, as well as high street banks and other financial institutions.

Ben has overall responsibility for all financial matters across the Cappagh Group.

Biography

Brian has been working for Cappagh since 2012 following 26 years in the gas, electric and water industry.  He is an experienced Operations Director focussed on driving exceptional health and safety standards, increased productivity and outstanding value delivery.  His most recent contracts involve Clean Water Repair & Maintenance, Main Renewal Schemes, Metering and New Mains & Services.

Biography

Dave has been involved in Fleet Management for over 20 years, he joined Cappagh in 2014 and with the help of his Transport Team is responsible for all the Cappagh Group’s vehicles.

Biography

Throughout his career David has specialised in bulk freight and for the last 15 years has worked in construction supply chains. 

David joined the company in 2019 to deliver its rail freight strategy. With its own freight operating company (DCRail) is in a strong position to integrate rail freight into complex construction projects. This can allow us to offer significant environmental and supply chain benefits to our customers.

Biography

Dean joined Cappagh in 2022 and brings with him 31 yrs of experience in the clean and waste water industry. Having worked across an almost full remit of job roles in the industry in both national and international placements. Passionate about innovation and customer service he is responsible for the strategic delivery of the Trenchless solutions to Thames Water as well as developing alternative operational delivery options across the company.

Biography

Hendrik joined Cappagh in 2001 following 9 years working for Thames Water.  He is accountable for all Operations, Engineering and Developer Services contracts.  He is responsible for the management of 200 staff, strategic and operational management of H&S, Environment & Quality and is the senior liaison with key clients including Thames Water Utilities and Local Authorities.

Biography

James joined Cappagh in May 2019, having spent several years working within the utilities sector.  Most recently he was responsible for the safety of all operations and contractor activities for Waste and Water below ground networks at Thames Water.

He is responsible for the Health, Safety and Wellbeing for the Cappagh Group.

Biography

Joe joined Cappagh in 2014 having spent 8 years at GRS Roadstone. Joe is responsible for managing the day to day sales of recycled aggregates and waste disposal, whilst also developing new strategic business opportunities for our recycled aggregates and land regeneration capabilities.

Biography

Louise has been employed by Cappagh since 2003 following 12 years working for Thames Water.  She specialises in processes and systems, working across our business to improve contractual performance.  Louise works in collaboration with our clients to deliver efficiencies, enrich our brand and enhance customer experience.

Biography

Matt joined the company in 2008 having already spent 12 years in the utilities industry.  Matt’s particular area of expertise lies in the water and wastewater sector, but he is also experienced in other utilities and general civil engineering. Matt is responsible for Cappagh Contractors’ framework contract agreements in terms of operational and customer delivery, safety and financial performance.

Biography

Sarah joined Cappagh in 2021, having initially worked on a consultancy basis, helping to shape how we interact with customers on behalf of our clients. She has held a number of senior marketing positions with large corporate organisations outside of the utilities sector. Sarah is responsible for driving a customer first approach and for developing and improving our service offering to our clients across the Cappagh Group.

Paul joined the company in 2015 having spent his previous years involved in heavy civil engineering projects ranging from airports, rail, tunnelling & utilities. Paul is responsible for the overall commercial & contractual performance of the company with particular strengths in cost, change & contract management & performance.

Biography

Scott joined Cappagh in 2007 having previously been a Project Engineer with Laing O’Rourke. Scott is responsible for all our Heathrow Airport Operations, the SSF Filter Bed Contract for Thames Water as well as individual civil engineering projects for a range of Clients. 

Scott manages our term agreement with HAL for the haulage of materials in/ out of Heathrow and our recycling operation which facilitates all major works within the airport. In addition to the operational management of our airport work, he is also involved in pricing of airport tenders and is responsible for the commercial and contractual control of our operations.

Biography

Stuart has been employed within the Cappagh Group of Companies since 2017, initially as Head of Planned Works on our Southern Water Wastewater react & Maintain contract for Southern Water.  He is accountable for the development and delivery of larger planned projects for existing and new clients.  Stuart has extensive experience in the delivery of construction projects within gas transmission, oil pipelines, power and water and wastewater networks.

Biography

Suzanne joined the company in 2003 and progressed through the business in different roles, gaining extensive experience, skills and knowledge in utility works. She specialises in Customer experience, Planning and Streetworks.  

Suzanne is responsible for ensuring the core Cappagh values are exhibited when our teams liaise with customers, communities and clients.
