Hendrik Zuurbier

Hendrik Zuurbier is Contracts Director at Cappagh Contractors Construction (London) Ltd, bringing 43 years of experience in the utility industry, predominantly across clean and wastewater services. He has played a key role in developing and expanding both the company and its capabilities over more than two decades.

Hendrik was born in Yorkshire and originally trained as a mining engineer. Following the miners' strike, he moved into the utility industry, relocating to London in 1984 and later settling in the South East. His career began working under the wastewater SMC contracts for Merton Council, followed by a further ten years with Thames Water, before he joined Cappagh in 2001.

Hendrik's enthusiasm for the industry remains undiminished after more than four decades. He is known for leading by example, and for supporting the wider team in any capacity, regardless of the challenges a project presents. His depth of experience has been invaluable in shaping Cappagh Contractors into the company it is today.
