Matt Guest

Matt Guest is Chief Executive Officer of Cappagh Contractors Construction (London) Limited.  With nearly 18 years at Cappagh and a career spanning utilities, civil engineering and infrastructure delivery, Matt has played a central role in building Cappagh into one of the UK's leading utility and civils contractors.

As CEO, Matt has overall responsibility for the performance and direction of the business - leading the senior leadership team, setting strategy, managing key client and stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the business delivers on its commitments across all of its contracts.  He is accountable for the safety, commercial performance and culture of an organisation of approximately 800 people generating around £80 million in annual revenue.

He holds an MSc in Water Management from Cranfield University and has led major framework contracts across water, waste water and gas infrastructure with clients including Thames Water, Southern Water, Portsmouth Water and SGN.

Matt is passionate about people, performance and innovation and believes that getting those three things right is what separates a good business from a great one.  His leadership style is hands-on, values-driven and focused on building the kind of culture where people do their best work.
