On Tuesday 8th August three of our colleagues working on the Portsmouth Water Contract (Laura Robarts, Lenny Watson and Sydney Ssekanjako) joined our Portsmouth Water colleagues for an afternoon volunteering at the Itchen Water Treatment Works.
As a team they worked together pulling Himalayan Balsam out of the ground. This is an Invasive non-native species that reduces the biodiversity value so needs to be removed so other plants can grow!
This was a great opportunity to network and meet other people in the company as well as getting to experience a change of scenery (and a complimentary cookie!)
