Delegates from Cappagh Group of Companies attended an evening with inspirational speaker and Ex England Rugby star "Billy Wizz" AKA Jason Robinson. Starting in Leeds he described his life, the difficulties he encountered as a young boy, his quest to gain an identity and how rugby league opened his gateway to life and his future successes.
He talked a bit about the glorious game; I think he mentioned that he was the only person to score a try in the rugby world cup. Now he is focusing on business, he observed the need for greater team work in business and the desire to go the extra mile for your team which he likened to support play in rugby, “if you drop the ball in rugby you would expect your team mates to be right behind you” he challenged businesses to consider performance likening business to winning teams, we should all try our best to be the best we can be, not the best in the world.
Reminded me of an old quote, “Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over, instead of craving control over what you don’t.”
