Contract Mobilisation and Induction Day during COVID-19 Lockdown

Contract Mobilisation and Induction Day during COVID-19 Lockdown

On Saturday 30th May the Cappagh team swung into action to induct 60 new colleagues who were transferred to the Company under TUPE from J Browne Construction.  Despite the Coronavirus forcing certain compromises, Cappagh’s "Can-Do" attitude shone through.

This event, which was carefully planned and orchestrated to adhere to COVID-19 restrictions in place, saw everyone receive a comprehensive introduction to Cappagh, including a welcome briefing, essential safety training, drug & alcohol testing, issuing of PPE and I.T. systems and equipment.

The event was hosted at Cappagh’s head office premises in Wimbledon, a spacious venue that allowed for modification of the normal induction process, permitting smaller groups.  The occasion was timed to cause the minimum of disruption to operations.

From 1st June Cappagh is the sole provider of Waste Water Network civils expertise to Thames Water and Lanes Group, operating in Thames Valley, South London, and North London.

Cappagh was awarded a 2-year extension until March 2022.  Two new operational centres have been opened up to service the enlarged operating area – at Walthamstow in Northeast London and Dartford.
